My husband Josh and I were struggling to decide between the expensive homebirth experience we wanted and a free hospital birth when we first thought about having a doula. Krista was recommended to us three times in the one week with rave reviews and we thought, "could this be the affordable but natural compromise we have been looking for?"

As it turns out, nothing about Krista's service was a compromise! We got so much more than we expected. In service, resources, knowledge and care, Krista went above and beyond to make our pregnancy and labour everything we wanted. 

In the lead up to Eleanor's due date Krista taught us so much about how to plan and advocate for a the experience we wanted. When it came to the labour she helped things along with her use of the Spinning Babies exercises, kept me calm with constant massages and calm words and made space for Josh to just support me and be present in the moment. We are certain we wouldn't have had the smooth, intervention-free birth we did without her in our corner.

Since then, Krista has been a wonderful support, encouraging me to trust my mothering instincts, welcoming me into her mothers group and pampering me with foot spas and delicious food.

What I have learnt through this whole experience is that good support is worth so much more than all the "stuff" we could have bought for our baby. Hiring Krista as our doula was money well spent and we are giving out rave reviews of our own and recommending her to all our pregnant friends.
